West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published:7 December 2007
Digital age
• IF the imbeciles at the Home Office insist on fingerprints as the preferred method of ID-ing us, how long will it be before criminals resort to bolt-cutters to remove a finger as well as the rest of our personal details when they need to access our accounts?
The phrase “to lift a finger” will take on a whole new meaning. And heaven help us if they decide to use the irises of our eyes for their biometric idiocy. MARTIN KENNEDY
