West End Extra - by TOM FOOT

Luke knows his limit

A SEVEN-FOOT glass of beer might seem like just the ticket with festive revelry fast approaching.
But police are warning that anyone caught drink driving faces a one-way journey to hell. THINK!, the government’s road safety campaign, unveiled the giant glass in Paddington station on Thursday.
It aims to draw attention to the fact that more people are stopped and breathalysed in December.
Ex-offender Luke Noon, 20, after standing in the glass for hours, came out and said: “After losing my licence last December and gaining a criminal record I lost my girlfriend and my job and it has been much harder to go out to meet my mates. Losing my licence changed my life completely. I only had a few and thought I’d be ok to drive – but when I was breathalysed the reading was one-and-a-half times the limit.”
