West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 11 January 2008
Joining the knight club?
• SIR Simon Milton was surely set to become a peer had there been an early election and had the Tories won. Instead, whilst remaining councillors for Lancaster Gate ward, he and his colleague Robert Davis, have, due to boundary changes, been added to a new constituency, Westminster North. This has led to a lack of interest from the Cities of London and Westminster MP Mark Field, and making nugatory any utterances by Lancaster Gate ward councillors. The West End Extra has published many letters of mine regarding a neighbour who had been noisy since July 2003. This matter was finally settled on November 7 last year.
Sir Simon obviously relishes the prospect of being knighted – he’ll differ from the benighted who have been responsible for my past discomfort. HENRY BERNARD
