Wildlife haven clears way for bats to have a ball
WESTMINSTER'S little-known bat population is being given a boost with the creation of a new wildlife haven.
It is hoped that some of the borough’s estimated 30,000 bats will flock to the newly created haven in Queen’s Park Gardens.
The area will also feature a wildflower meadow, an outdoor classroom area and a stag beetle loggery.
The haven creation was masterminded by the environmental charity Groundwork, using a £7,000 grant from Westminster City Partnership. |
