Five men in court over teen’s death
FIVE men appeared at the Old Bailey this week in connection with the murder of Lisson Grove teenager Jevon Henry.
The 18-year-old was stabbed in the heart in January last year.
Detectives later announced a £20,000 reward for information and the incident was featured on BBC’s Crimewatch.
Muhid Abdul, Taz Uddin, Jubed Miah, Toufajul Miah and Kamal Abdul, all in their 20s and from Lisson Green estate, were before the Common Serjeant of London, Judge Brian Barker, on Wednesday and remanded in custody.
Their defence QCs said they needed more time to consider evidence which came to light at a late stage.
None of the accused were asked to enter any pleas and the hearing was adjourned to May 21.
A trial date for January 12 next year has been allocated to the case. |
