Allotment and more going on in the market
COVENT Garden has been transformed into a gardeners’ paradise to mark the coming of spring.
A working allotment, complete with a home-grown fruit and vegetable patch has brought a slice of country life to the city for the Spring Renaissance festival.
As part of the celebrations there is also the unusual addition of a pair of 25ft peacocks – by the New York- based floral designer Preston Bailey.
The festival is due to run until May 18 with a full flower market on the next three Saturdays. For more information visit: www.spring renaissance.com
