Party time for Greens!

• I AM writing to thank the 16,874 people in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham who voted for me on May 1.
I am delighted that the Green Party did so well in West Central London, increasing our number of votes by 57 per cent (from 10,762 in 2004).
It was also a wonderful surprise to come third, which demonstrates just how far the Green Party has moved forward in recent years. I would like to thank Kit Malthouse, Murad Qureshi, and Merlene Emerson for contributing to a good-natured campaign.
Despite his failings, Ken Livingstone was a good Mayor.
I sincerely hope that Boris Johnson can follow in his footsteps by working with the Greens to improve the quality of life for all.
