Bee Gee brother unveils plaque at studio where hits were born
THE legacy of everyone’s favourite falsetto family the Bee Gees will be stayin’ alive for longer after a green plaque was unveiled outside their Mayfair recording studio.
Singer Robin Gibb (pictured) did the unveiling honours outside 67 Brook Street, where the band’s manager and producer Robert Stigwood lived between 1968 and 1980.
Along with brothers Barry and Maurice, Robin composed some of their biggest hits at the location including the hip-shaking anthem Saturday Night Fever and the much covered How Deep Is Your Love.
Paying tribute to the band, Councillor Robert Davis, cabinet member for planning said: “We are very proud to commemorate the Bee Gees for the great contribution they have made to music.” |
