A parkour enthusiast |
West End | News | Westminster Council | artist Layla Curtis | Casino Royale | James Bond film
A FITNESS craze where athletes scale buildings, throw themselves off roofs and jump onto railings is the subject of a new exhibition commissioned by Westminster Council.
Armed with a camera and some pretty swish thermal imaging technology, Layla Curtis has been tracking Parkour enthusiasts as they hurtle through the streets of Westminster and perform gravity-defying stunts.
Parkour originated in France and has grown in popularity since it was featured in the James Bond film Casino Royale and on a number of BBC adverts.
The exhibition opens on June 4 at Chelsea Futurespace. |
