David’s chef of 2008 title
A MAN who slaves over a hot stove in the House of Commons has been named London Chef of the Year 2008.
David Bush, 28 took time out from his day job pleasing the palates of the Westminster village, where he has worked for seven years, to pick up the award at Westminster Kingsway College. He fought off competition from other budding master chefs to win the title and work experience at a top Dubai restaurant.
Applicants prepared a three-course meal for a formidable panel of judges including Steve Scuffell from the Craft Guild of Chefs and Paul Gayler, executive chef at the Lanesborough Hotel Knightsbridge.
Mr Bush said: “It was really worth all the hard work.
“To win it first time is fantastic.” |
