West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 4 July 2008
Let’s start with a single step
• AS a community representative for some years I do endorse what Sir Terry Farrell had to say in his recent lecture at Westminster University (Sir Terry’s birthday vision for the city, June 27). I do not however think we would get a “Nash Ramblas” (pedestrian-friendly path) extending from Primrose Hill through Regent’s Park down Portland Place and through the West End to Carlton Terrace and The Mall.
Too many steps and places here.
Let’s make a start with Portland Place to Regent’s Park and around Regent’s Park.
One step at a time.
Even this small project would cause outrage with car owners and taxis. NOEL TOBIN
