West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 18 July 2008
Looking at Fitzrovia
• THE Charlotte Street Association has been working for 35 years to preserve the unique character of Fitzrovia, which straddles the border between the boroughs of Camden and Westminster. The association has launched a fascinating exhibition, Fitzrovia Revealed, detailing that unique character in words and visual images.
It is timely since – at least until the credit crunch – Fitzrovia has been overwhelmed by development pressure, with every other building being developed by one property owner or another.
This exhibition reminds property developers and local people alike of the special place that is Fitzrovia.
The exhibition takes place in a property owned by the Fitzrovia Trust.
It is open today (Friday) from noon to 6pm and over the weekend, from noon to 4pm at 57 Warren Street. I hope your readers will take the opportunity to visit.
Cllr Penny Abraham
Labour, Bloomsbury ward Camden Town Hall
