Festival revellers and spaghetti ravellers enjoy sun
READY steady spaghetti, was the battle cry for hungry competitors enjoying the messy octane-fuelled guzzling challenge at the Soho Festival on Sunday.
It was fast, frenetic and definitely not pretty. Few took heed to the no-whites warning, and it looks like bibs were in short supply but that didn’t bother those brave entrants who found room for more spoonfuls than the doctor probably would advise. Aside from the food, St Anne’s gardens were swarming with hordes of revellers enjoying the sunshine.
Other hits were the very Soho cross-dressing children’s entertainer, and the booming, lung-busting, Alpine horn competition. The festival was the biggest ever and plans are for an even bigger 2009 event. |
