Man pleads guilty to fatal knife attack on his wife
AN estranged husband travelled across London from his Lisson Grove home to carry out a horror knife attack to kill his wife.
And today (Friday), Wayne Forrester is facing a life sentence having confessed the slaying.
His admission came to the Old Bailey, where he made a brief appearance before the Recorder of London, Judge Peter Beaumont.
Forrester, 33, pleaded guilty to murdering 34 year-old Emma Forrester at her home in Markfield Road, New Addington, Surrey.
On February 18 he drove to the address armed with a knife and at 6am kicked in the front door.
His wife was found covered in blood and lying in a hallway by police who were alerted by 999 calls from neighbours when they heard screams.
Forrester walked towards the officers with blood on his outstretched hands and indicated that he should be handcuffed and arrested.
Sentence was adjourned until October 17 when the full facts of the tragedy will be heard by the court. |
