Clear views on the buses
• IT was most interesting to see that the proposal for the new Routemaster bus will have a glass roof for people to see through. This is a great idea but how practicable is it?
Currently, in cold weather, all the upstairs windows mist up badly so obviously a glass roof will. The damp drippings will then fall onto passengers.
In hot summers it will be like a hot greenhouse. What steps have been taken to ensure these problems do not occur?
Let’s hope that the new designs will be thoroughly researched and the opinions of members of the public sought.
We don’t want any more glaringly wrong design faults including poor seating arrangements.
How about including windscreen wipers for the upstairs front windows.
These would work in conjunction with the downstairs window wipers and would enable passengers to see clearly through the windows on rainy times.
