Come dancing! Tea dance attracts hundreds of pensioners to Park Lane
EVERYTHING from the Sergeant shuffle to the Travolta trot were on show at a glittering tea dance at the weekend.
Close to 1,000 pensioners slipped on their dancing shoes for the bash in the historic Great Room of the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane on Sunday.
Sailors from HMS Westminster were on hand to keep the ladies happy as the party danced away to the sounds of yesteryear.
The dance was organised by Westminster Council’s Older People’s Champion, Councillor Christabel Flight and was the third in a series of high-profile events for pensioners in the borough. |
