• I burst out laughing when I read that accountants KPMG have concluded that Westminster Council made a mess when they lost £17m (‘Reckless gambling’ of taxpayers’ money, December 19)
. Why did their report cost £37,000 to state what Basil Fawlty would have referred to as “the bleedin’ obvious”? Martin Kennedy
