Dapper chaps cycled from Savile Row to Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club |
Caps off! Charity bike race, tweed style
FLAT caps and tweed replaced lycra and crash helmets for a special charity bike ride on Saturday.
It’s no surprise that quite a few of the sartorially splendid cyclists work in Savile Row and were raising
money for bikes4africa – an organisation that fixes bikes and gives them to rural African school children.
To keep things interesting there were prizes for the most dapper
chap, the most dashing dame, best moustache and the doff of the cap award for the most civilised behaviour of the day.
The bikers made their merry away around London, starting in Savile Row with a few tea and cake pit stops on the way before finishing at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club where they enjoyed a well-earned drink. |
