Bradley Walsh backs the competition with market trader Ronnie Stannett |
Stall or nothing! Competition aims to back traditional market traders
THE drive for healthy eating may be seen as less of a priority in these credit crunch days, but it continues to dominate our thoughts.
A campaign entitled “Love Your Market” has been launched to show people the benefits of buying fruit and veg from traditional stalls.
The search is also on to find the Westminster market trader of the year with the winner set to receive “free trading” worth more than £2,000. Councillor Daniel Astaire turned out to meet the Berwick Street stall-holders, while TV star Bradley Walsh also showed his support for the traders, some of whom have had the same patch for more than 35 years. |
