West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published:24 April 2009
Marathon inspiration
•
AS braver readers gear up for a weekend of pushing themselves to the limit by running the London Marathon, many of our residents inspired by the heroic efforts of those running may find their thoughts turning to their own health and fitness regimes.
You don’t need to pay sky high prices for top quality facilities.
In Westminster we have invested heavily in sport and leisure so that our facilities, which include the Queen Mother Sports Centre, the Jubilee Sports Centre, the Porchester Leisure Centre and the Seymour Leisure Centre, are up to date and convenient, offering a “pay-as-you-go” option for those who don’t want to sign up as members. Over the next 18 months we will be opening two new purpose-built leisure centres in Marshall Street and Little Venice. Our Active Westminster scheme has an array of discounts for activities, from swimming to tennis, all at affordable prices.
