West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Published: 5 June 2009
Don’t vote for them
• I NOTE what Dr Ian Rowley proposes in regard to scrapping secure tenancies, selling council housing and moving tenants to lower-cost areas (New housing boss ‘is like Alan B’Stard’, May 22).
He sees a Westminster for the affluent and developers, and the poor moved out to what will become ghettoes.
That is rich coming from a Conservative councillor whose party – along with Labour – has been milking the system.
No council, Peabody estate, or housing association tenant should vote Tory or Labour.
It won’t get them out, but it will put the fear of god into them. Madeleine Clarke
