Heading for ‘Plato’
A HEADTEACHER of a Paddington primary school has been nominated for a prestigious award.
Lindsey Woodford, of St Saviour’s in Shirland Road, is one of three finalists in the primary headteacher of the year category at the 2009 Teaching Awards. She is the only representative from the borough trying to win a “Plato” at the award ceremony on June 23 at Central Hall, Westminster.
Caroline Evans, chief executive of the Teaching Awards said: “The influence of these outstanding individuals on the lives of children and their families cannot be underestimated. Society needs to recognise their impact and thank them wholeheartedly for the important contribution they make.” |
