Priest puts faith in Stringfellows for book launch
USUALLY at a Vicars and Tarts party, the clergymen are geography students from some solidly middle-class university like Bristol or Durham.
There will be no need to suspend your disbelief at Stringfellows on Wednesday evening because they’ve got the real thing.
Controversial Catholic priest, and “priest to the stars” Father Michael Seed will swap his dog collar for some bunny rabbit ears to read from his new autobiography at the world famous club.
Father Michael, best-known for his high-profile friendships with the Blairs, Jeffrey Archer, Suggs and the Barclay brothers, will be launching his book Sinners and Saints.
Isn’t Father Michael worried what the man in the sky might make of all this?
Whether he will have to make some confessions of his own, depends on how close he gets to the private dance area in the Wardour Street venue.
Father Michael was ecumenical adviser to two cardinals at Westminster Cathedral, and honorary priest to the Commons and the Lords for more than 20 years.
His memoirs cover his encounters with some of the most prominent political and public figures of a generation, giving a rare and fascinating glimpse of behind-the-scenes events in the corridors of power. |
