Spanish test: Pupils join 500 million people worldwide in speaking the language
YOUNG chicas and chicos in Paddington are celebrating after being awarded certificates for their Spanish speaking.
More than 200 Assett Language certificates were handed out to the seven to 10-year-old’s from Edward Wilson primary.
And they’ve become so advanced that the school’s foreign language teacher now needs to be trained to assess them at preliminary level, an honour usually only bestowed on secondary school pupils.
They have been learning Spanish at the school for the past four years in advance of the statutory requirement in 2011 that all primary-aged children learn a modern foreign language. |
