Woody books in
LEGENDARY director Woody Allen turned 95 Bell Street bookshop into a film set this week.
Allen chose the shop, near Marylebone station, for a scene in his yet to be titled movie which centres on a family living in London and stars Naomi Watts and Anthony Hopkins.
“We’ve been approached about filming in the shop before and we usually say no,” said owner Stephen Foster. “It’s a quiet time of year so we didn’t mind – and it is Woody Allen!”
Characters in Allen’s films often meet for the first time in bookshop. |
