Temple lesson: Inter-faith adventures
CHILDREN from the St John’s Wood Adventure Playground and Salusbury WORLD Refugee Centre visited the Radha-Krishna Temple in Soho Street as part of a summer inter-faith project.
Twenty children from different faith backgrounds learned about Hindu beliefs, the temple deities and religious paintings.
Each summer the playground takes children on a tour of the main churches, synagogues and mosques in Westminster.
Temple education services manager Krishna Pranadhika said: “This kind of programme offers everyone such an enriching experience.”
Visitor Jonas, aged five, said: “I loved blowing the conch, it made a loud sound. It tells everyone it’s time to pray.”
