Dance studio and gym for park fitness centre
A new £800,000 fitness centre, boasting a dance studio, gym, training facilities and consultation rooms, is to be built at Paddington Recreation Ground.
It is part of a £4million programme to improve facilities at the park, including a facelift for the existing café.
Councillor Ed Argar, Westminster City Council cabinet member for adult and community services, said: “Paddington Recreation Ground is already renowned as one of London’s best and most popular green spaces, offering top class sports facilities as well as open space for the whole community… and the investment into facilities such as this fitness suite further demonstrates the integral role we see sport playing in the city and our commitment to making it easier and more enjoyable for people to take part in sport – to improve their health or just for fun” |
