A giant cake for Regent Street |
Streets ahead! Regent festival’s 10th birthday bash
THE Regent Street Festival celebrated its 10th birthday in style at the weekend as the crowds were able to bask in the late September sunshine.
Camden Town rockers Madness journeyed south to headline the festival which also featured fashion shows, two supersized birthday cakes and even a giant Ferris Wheel.
Kids also got in on the street party, as the world’s most famous toy store, Hamleys, hosted a special lawn with face painting, balloon artists and magicians. The festival also coincided with the 250th anniversary of Hamleys and a number of other stores were also celebrating landmark birthdays.
Money raised from the event went to the cancer charity Cancer Research. |
