Morris Gleitzman talks to pupils at Westminster City School |
Morris a major influence Australian author aims to inspire young to write
CHILD fiction writer Morris Gleitzman visited Westminster City School on Monday as part of his world tour.
The Australian author is publicising his 30-strong collection of novels and short stories as well as an upcoming movie based on his book Toad Rage.
Mr Gleitzman, a multi-million-selling author, is famed for using adult themes in his books, such as the Holocaust and cancer, to give children a “focus on morality”.
Year 8 and 9 boys at Westminster City quizzed him on the upcoming movie, his passions and future plans, while the school’s headmaster David Maloney said he hoped to use further literary talks as “a vehicle to encourage boys to write”.
